The word “community” is not new to the Internet.
It first appeared in 1993, the “virtual community” proposed by sociologist Rheingold:
A group of people who connect through computer networks to break through geographical restrictions communicate, communicate and share information and knowledge through the network, forming a special relationship network with similar interests and hobbies, and finally forming a community circle with community awareness and community feelings.
