Douyin is certainly not new to us. TikTok is douyin’s overseas version, which is sweeping the world. According to the data, tiktok has downloaded more than 2 billion times on app stores and Google play around the world. In less than two years, it has grown from a small “lip synch” app to a short video app with a viral growth of nearly 800 million active users per month in 2020. In the past may, tiktok has topped the list of revenue and downloads worldwide.
In May of this year, TikTok was ranked first in the global mobile application (non-game) download list with nearly 112 million downloads, doubling from the same period in 2019. India is the market with the largest downloads of the application, accounting for 20%; followed by the United States, accounting for 9.3%.
